This free workshop presented by the Edmonton Screen Industries Office in partnership with IATSE 210 will provide you with vocabulary and details about the chain of command in the crew. Find out who does what, the behaviour that is expected of you, and what you need to bring to a call. This course is a requirement for IATSE Local 210’s film and television members and permitted workers – and is recommended for newcomers to the film industry.

Prudence Olenik bio
Prudence Olenik brings 43 years of film and television industry experience; eight non union and the rest as a proud IATSE union member. Prudence trained as an actress at Studio 58 in Vancouver and as a makeup artist at the Greasepaint School of Makeup in London, England.
She has been Film Vice President for IATSE 210 for eight years. To help establish and maintain standards in her field, she has been involved with developing exams and adjudicating the Makeup Trade Test for Alberta.
She has been nominated for seven Alberta Film and Television Awards, in the category of makeup design, of which she has won two, and has also been nominated for a Gemini Award on the project which won the best TV movie that year.
