This August, five Edmonton studios are showcasing their games at gamescom in Cologne supported by Edmonton Screen's Summit Push Program.
Meet the Studios
The Edmonton delegation will be in Hall 10.2, Booth E40 throughout gamescom. Play the games, meet the developers, and connect with the teams creating original titles in Edmonton.
The lineup includes psychological horror, webcam-driven scares, farming meets tower defense, physics-based racing, and an NES-inspired adventure, showcasing the range of games being developed across Edmonton and Northern Alberta.

Inferius
Best Game (CGMagazine) and Big Indie Pitch, Game Con Canada 2026
In this dark fantasy journey inspired by Dante's Inferno, players are thrown into the bowels of Hell, locked in an endless cycle of death. To escape, players must unravel the mysteries of why they were condemned to this fate and how to break free. As they progress, they will confront the god-like beings who reign over each layer and negotiate or battle their way through endless horrors. Their ultimate goal is to find a way out, restore their mind, or succumb forever to the darkness.

Our Eyes See No Evil

The Rabbit Haul
Winner, GDC Pitch 2024 and Best Indie Game (CGMagazine), Game Con Canada 2024
The Rabbit Haul puts players in control of Sprout, a determined rabbit rebuilding a hometown ransacked by the Trash Panda Posse. Part farming sim, part tower defense, part roguelite - daytime is for planting crops and placing defensive plant towers, figuring out synergies before the Trash Panda Posse arrives in waves at night. Every run teaches you something new.

Slipstream
Slipstream is a top-down physics-based racing game where you move by splitting your bubble to propel yourself forward. Manage your fuel as you steal bubbles from other players! Challenge your friends or CPU players and slide yourself to victory!

YANCY

YANCY is an NES style action adventure that follows a small protagonist in a vast world full of danger, swords and rewards. Lead your own adventure in a non-linear game world, explore hand-crafted dungeons, forge magical weapons, battle challenging bosses and unearth ancient secrets!

The Summit Push Program brings promising video game studios to internationally recognized industry events, connecting them with the publishers, investors, and partners who can take their games further. Participants receive exhibitor training, presentation and networking preparation, coordinated showcase opportunities, and financial support to make showing up on the world stage possible. Edmonton Screen leads the program as part of its work growing the video game industry across Edmonton and Northern Alberta.
