Edmonton Screen is seeking a dynamic and creative Communications and Social Media Coordinator to manage our corporate communications, social media presence, and website content. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our marketing obligations and opportunities are successfully managed.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Social Media Management
- Strategically plan and develop Edmonton Screen content across all platforms, including Meta, X, LinkedIn, and Bluesky to support Edmonton Screen marketing and communication goals.
- Produce high quality static and dynamic content based on content goals and medium.
- Coordinate with staff and external partners to highlight and promote local programs, events, projects, etc.
- Monitor and report on website and social media performance.
Communications Management
- In collaboration with staff, plan and manage publications and literature including concept, content, design and delivery, including annual reports, news releases, reports, presentations, etc.
- Collaboratively manage the editorial direction, content development and strategic management of the Edmonton Screen website, social media channels, and other communications tools as needed.
- Work with staff and vendors to develop communications collateral and promotions.
- Collaboratively draft and implement strategies and plans as required.
Marketing and Event Assistance
- Assist staff in the implementation event plans, particularly in the marketing and advertising of Edmonton Screen events.
- Provide onsite support for events as needed.
- In collaboration with other staff, monitor and fulfil sponsorship and other marketing obligations.
Other
- Regularly report the status of deliverables.
- Assist to develop or revise policies and procedures, as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in communications, public relations, business or related discipline, or a combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in managing communications and social media
- Experience in the creative industries is considered an asset
- Familiarity with technology/software designed for social media management, website management and graphic design is considered an asset.
